Description:
|
Per the VG grade, detail is considerably flattened due to decades of use in circulation, but the surfaces are amazingly smooth and definitely appealing. The denomination is entirely absent from the reverse, but central weakness is characteristic of C-4, since all examples seen are weak in the same area. The die simply didn't strike up the letters! A trivial old pinscratch is noted poking out the top of the wreath. (PCGS# 001012)
