(About The Images)
1892 PCGS MS-67. 1892 PCGS MS-67.
Lot Title: 1892 PCGS MS-67.
Description: Eye-appeal borders on the profound for this astonishing inaugural Barber quarter. Let's be honest: the design for this type would never be called "exciting" by most collectors. But encircle Charles E. Barber's portrait within a beautifully toned framework of caramel-brown and toast-gold, and embellish the details with blistering sharpness, and suddenly the staid design becomes a miniature work of art! The reverse is further embellished with a lovely streak of ebony-cobalt toning along the lower left rim, and here again, the sharpness borders on astounding, with not a smidgeon of weakness to be found anywhere. Twin reedmarks elevated in front of Liberty's brow form the only possible distraction, and the type collector who gravitates to inaugural issues must consider this coin for his set. (PCGS# 005601)
