Lot Title:
1869 PCGS AU-50.
Description:
While most of the surface shows the mild wear expected of the AU grade, that luster which is protected by the edge devices delivers strong, sparkling vibrancy, and the coin may have been somewhat prooflike when struck. Of course, there is some flatness of the design elements, simply from circulation, but a majority of the original sharpness is retained. A couple of narrow scrapes intersect like a checkmark on Liberty's cheek, and form the only noticeable abrasion. (PCGS# 007990)
