Lot Title:
1798 (S-148, R.2) 1st Hair Style. NGC F-12 BN.
Description:
Surfaces are recolored to dark walnut, quite close to ebony-brown, with a bit of glossy texture left behind on both sides. Trivial ticks are pecked onto the rim here and there, with an occasional hairline scratch and small handling mark showing in the fields. A definite scratch peels off from the left stem of the wreath. The condition census is not that strong for S-148, making this a pretty decent choice for a better collection by Sheldon number. (PCGS# 036023)
