(About The Images)
1870 PCGS MS-63. 1870 PCGS MS-63.
Lot Title: 1870 PCGS MS-63.
Description: Lack of some obverse details can easily be explained by the status of the die, since an extensive network of die cracks show that it was rapidly approaching a fully shattered state. Not many more nickels can possibly have been struck from such a weakened die-state. Nonetheless, potent luster still manages to pervade the obverse fields, and the reverse displays some nice die polish lines. (PCGS# 003797)
