Lot Title:
1906 PCGS PF-66.
Description:
An unusual palette of sea-green and indigo-blue pastel tones dominates the left two-thirds of the obverse, yielding to sunny yellow illumination from the east. This is a fabulous visual effect and instantly elevates the eye-appeal to regal status -- and that's before the reverse can even be appreciated for it's marvelous dusky cobalt and turquoise patterns! There is a scratch through the peak of Liberty's cap that defies the PF-66 grade level, but those wonderful, rippling bands of color significantly reduces it's visibility and render any aberrations essentially mute. The bottom line is: this is a spectacular proof dime, and it is housed in a PCGS rattler holder. (PCGS# 004890)
