Lot Title:
Complete collection of Lincoln cents, 1909 through 1958-D, in a Dansco 7103 album.
Description:
Wheat cents are generally represented by nicer, original examples (with a few notable exceptions) in this Dansco album collection. The steel cents are bright and attractive, and a few additional coins dated after 1943 are uncirculated, but by and large, this a grouping of circulated pieces, with many earlier issues upgraded to VG and Fine. The most important coins are: 1909-S VDB (F/corroded/cleaned), 1909-S (F), 1911-S (VF/corroded/cleaned), 1914-D (VG and very nice), 1922-plain (F/bent, and NOT die-pair 2), and 1931-S (XF). The 1909-S VDB and 1911-S are really pretty much the only coins with apparent problems. One hundred forty-two coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
