(About The Images)
1795 Set Left (BB-51, B-14, R.2). NGC VG-10. 1795 Set Left (BB-51, B-14, R.2). NGC VG-10.
Lot Title: 1795 Set Left (BB-51, B-14, R.2). NGC VG-10.
Description: The off center portrait is instantly recognizable and leads to rapid attribution as BB-51, a fairly common but popular die marriage. Lovely, original classic grey patina exemplifies the surfaces of the example offered here, and despite the NGC grade of only VG-10, each side offers surprising details, including a few of Liberty's hair strands, and some definite feather details in the wings. Rims on the obverse are utterly immaculate, with the reverse rim displaying a pair of trivial rim bumps at the very bottom. (PCGS# 039996)
