(About The Images)
1853 NGC MS-64. 1853 NGC MS-64.
Lot Title: 1853 NGC MS-64.
Description: No singular feature stands out as being particularly noteworthy, and the luster, strike and preservation seem to be just about "right" for MS-63. All the stars exhibit superb articulation of internal details, and only the curl over Liberty's hair shows slight softness. The rims are affected by an interesting "wire edge", and along with numerous peripheral die-cracks, they suggest loose and/or aging dies. (PCGS# 007767)

1853 NGC MS-62 CAC.
Stone-cold original and dripping with luster, this early coronet quarter-eagle offers exquisite luster and extremely attractive mint frost. Technical limitation becomes evident once a small scrape is...

1853 PCGS MS-62.
The distinctive appearance is derived from a fine spray of micro carbon spots on the obverse, completely overshadowed, however, by a much larger blob of carbon "stuff" at the base of the eagle's...
831The Midwest Winter Sale 2008 on 02/08/2008$1,700.00
1853 Coronet quarter-eagle, NGC MS-64
Beautiful pearlescent luster lends nice appeal to this early Coronet gold coin. Examination under a loupe reveals surprisingly few blemishes for the grade, although a couple of mild copper spots...
