Lot Title:
1935-S Texas and 1936-S Columbia, both NGC MS-66.
Description:
Only a few sprinkles of coffee-tan color may be seen on the obverse of the Columbia, the reverse remaining virtually pristine. Overall luster is nice, and the surfaces unusually clean for a coin that is known to usually suffer annoying bagmarks in the wide-open fields. An interesting blend of chartreuse color stripes the obverse lower-right quadrant of the Texas, while the reverse is enriched with deep lavender tones. Two coin lot.

Of the three, the 1938-S is the best struck, with clinically accurate striking details in all areas. All three coins are originally patinated. |

This is a very unique looking Texas Commemorative. The obverse has mottled tones of gold, rose, and turquoise, while the reverse is 100% covered with attractive rose patina. |
