Lot Title:
Eleven Bust half-dollars, lettered edge.
Description:
The joy, the pleasure, the sheer delight of attributing bust half-dollars is left up to potential bidders for this group. Dates and grades are carefully listed, however, as follows: 1822 (VG and amazingly original), 1824 (AU), 1827 (XF-45/dipped but not properly rinsed), 1827 (VF), 1827 (VF/lightly cleaned), 1829 (XF-45), 1831 (Fine), 1832 (AU/severely whizzed), 1832 (VF-35), 1834 (AU/acid damaged), 1836 lettered edge (XF-45). What, did you really think this last coin would be a reeded-edge? Eleven coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
