(About The Images)
1826 (C-1, R.1) NGC MS-64 BN. 1826 (C-1, R.1) NGC MS-64 BN.
Lot Title: 1826 (C-1, R.1) NGC MS-64 BN.
Description: Die lines crosshatched just right of the date easily attribute C-1, and common die-state II. The reverse is rotated about twenty degrees. Terrific eye-appeal awaits the color enthusiast since the obverse is dominated by a huge oval of ultraviolet-cobalt toning. The reverse is far more tame, but exhibits tantalizing hints of similar iridescence. Quality of the luster exceeds normal expectations of an MS-64 BN grade.

1826 (C-1, R-1) AU-55 BN.
A likely attempt to dip this copper coin was foiled since light circulation had already removed luster anyhow, and there was no way this 1826 C-1 was going to look uncirculated afterward. Subsequent...

1826 (C-1, R-1) and 1850 (C-1, R-2) half-cents.
The 1826 half-cent grades XF-45 and is powdered with dusky dark chocolate toning. It is accompanied by an 1850 that grades AU-55 and has hints of mint red underlying walnut brown patina, especially on...

1826 NGC C-1, R-1 MS-62 BN.
Some traces of red are still apparent on surfaces that are mostly medium brown and complemented by blue accents. A scant number of ticks are detected when employing a glass on this prominent strike.
