Fragments of a die-scratch connect "C" to "H" on the reverse, defining die-state II. Enthusiasts of rich color and frosty luster will enjoy this NGC MS-65 BN example, since both sides exude deeply suffused burgundy-magenta tone. For a coin designated "brown", the luster sparkles beautifully behind the lovely patina! As demanded of a commercial "gem" grade, there are very few defects, limited to a cluster of perhaps two or three tiny ticks on Liberty's neck.
