Lot Title:
1800 "Low 8 Wide Date" (B-13, BB-193, R.4). PCGS VF-25.
Description:
The clash marks that denote a more common late die-state for B-13 are most apparent on the reverse as a curving line near 1:00 that passes through "F" in OF. Providing a highly presentable appearance, beige-grey devices are well complemented by lavender-tan fields, yielding the two-toned appearance coveted by many astute collectors. A slightly off center strike has pushed the denticles to the extreme limit of the lower obverse edge, and at the very top of the reverse, a couple of trivial rim dings can barely be seen.

1800 Low 8, Very Wide Date (B-10, BB-190, R-3). F/whizzed.
Absurdly bright surfaces are hopelessly bright beyond all realm of possibility for an 1800 dollar grading "fine". The strangely granular surfaces have been whizzed, leading to the glossy, brushed... |
