Lot Title:
1902 UNC details/cleaned, 1903-O AU details/cleaned, and 1905 UNC details/scratched/questionable color.
Description:
1902 has an uncirculated reverse and perhaps a touch of friction on the obverse, with luster mildly impaired by light hairlines from cleaning. 1903-O is a somewhat better date with AU details, but this example is simply too bright to pass as original. Finally, the consignor himself questioned the rainbow toning along the lower reaches of the obverse for the 1905, though your cataloger feels the color is just fine, with details at about the MS-60 level. Three coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
