Lot Title:
Complete set of Indian-head cents in a Dansco 7101 album
Description:
The consignor obviously made considerable effort to include only coins with a full LIBERTY and VF/XF detail, since by far, most of these small-cents fall in that grade range, with even a few BU examples sprinkled in with the later dates. Only the best coins will be listed, with the understanding that potential bidders really need to see these coins in person to formulate an effective bid. The highlights are given as: 1859 (XF), 1864-L (XF and one of the nicest coins), 1868 (AU-55 detail and luster), 1871 (VF), 1872 (F), 1877 (G-4 and the lowest graded coin in the set by far), 1908-S (XF), and 1909-S (XF).
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
