Lot Title:
Eight Walking Liberty half-dollars from the 1940's NGC MS-65.
Description:
Consistently beautiful, blast-white Walking Liberty half-dollars gleam with booming luster and prodigious eye-appeal, and each is an MS-65 gem per NGC. The date range is concentrated within the parameters of the famous "short-set" and would form a strong nucleus for such a collection. Dates are cataloged as: 1943-S, 1944, 1944-D, 1945, 1945-S, 1946, 1946-S, and 1947. The S-mint coins are not fully struck, as usual, but are probably all a little better than average for such troubled issues. Eight coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
