1889 PCI MS-64 and 1897 PCI MS-64 PL Morgan dollar, and a 1911 Lincoln cent PCI MS-64 RB. 1889 PCI MS-64 and 1897 PCI MS-64 PL Morgan dollar, and a 1911 Lincoln cent PCI MS-64 RB.
Lot Title: 1889 PCI MS-64 and 1897 PCI MS-64 PL Morgan dollar, and a 1911 Lincoln cent PCI MS-64 RB.
Description: At one time, PCI commanded considerable respect for their certified coins, especially during the era of the green-label holders, and two such are included here. The 1889 Morgan dollar is graded MS-64, and though the grade was suitable at the time the coin was certified (green-label), it has now developed a thing yellow streak on Liberty's cheek that requires conservation. In a PCI gold-label holder is an 1897 dollar, graded MS-64 PL. This seems appropriate numerically, but a prooflike designation seems debatable. Finally, a 1911 Lincoln cent is graded MS-64 RB in a green-label holder, and while the bluish color seems to be original, the reverse left rim displays an unknown rust colored residue. Three coin lot from the Don't Look Back Collection.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

Our consignor wanted all four of these Morgan dollars sold as a lot. An 1889 grades MS-63, and features an interesting triangle of misty tan color, and it is followed by a second 1889 that grades...
