(About The Images)
1929-S PCGS MS-65FH. 1929-S PCGS MS-65FH.
Lot Title: 1929-S PCGS MS-65FH.
Description: 1929-S is frequently not struck very well, and full-head examples like this one are a pleasant departure from the norm. While the usual two rivets are undefined, as is the eagle's breast, on balance this is a sharp example. Gorgeous original patina embellishes the surfaces, and gathers into occasional tobacco-grey accents, reminiscent of mint set tone on the obverse. Now, if the PCGS grader's hair stubble sticking to the top of the shield could just be removed, all would be well. Doggone those hairy graders!

1929-S NGC MS-66+ STAR FH CAC.
A full-head example of 1929-S probably deserves more attention than it gets, being viewed as a "common date" even with the desirable strike designation. But besides that, hardly any more superlatives...

1929-S PCGS MS-65.
With "full head" detail, 1929-S becomes a costly rarity in the Standing Liberty quarter series, which means that coins with strong details that don't quite merit the designation can be a bargain. ...

1086The Collector's Auction on 10/20/2006$500.00
1929-S NGC MS-65 FH.
An intense brilliance radiates from this example's essentially white surfaces that have a delicate champagne iridescence. The sprinkling of minute contact ticks, perceived with a glass, are basically...
1325The Midwest Summer Sale 2006 on 07/21/2006$450.00
1929-S PCGS MS-65.
