Lot Title:

Nearly complete set of Lincoln Wheat Cents (no 1913-S, 1922 plain, or 1955 double-die) in a Dansco 7103 album.
|
Description:
|
Lincoln cents with a high caliber of sharpness have been selected to populate this Dansco album, and even though there are pieces with issues, by and large, this is an outstanding collection as it stands now. Only wheat cents are included from 1909-1958-D with two omissions held back by the consignor due to their low-grade appearance: 1913-S and 1922-plain. Since nearly every piece grades XF/AU or better, there is not much sense in listing "highlight" selections. Rather, only the keys are listed as follows: 1909-S VDB (AU/heavily dipped), 1909-S (XF/environmental damage/cleaned), 1914-D (XF/cleaned), and 1931-S (VF/cleaned). That being said, there are many dates included that are very difficult to find with such high level of details, so potential bidders are strongly urged to inspect this set personally.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
