Lot Title:

Eighteen better Mercury dimes.
|
Description:
|
For the level of detail present, these are all better Mercury dimes. Unfortunately, problems will cause them to see a reduction in value. They are listed as: 1919-S (AU), 1921-D (VF/PVC damage), 1921-D (XF/scratched/damaged/PVC), 1925 (AU/cleaned/PVC), 1925-D (XF/cleaned/PVC), 1925-S (VF/cleaned), 1926-D (AU), 1926-S (AU/cleaned/PVC), 1929-D (AU/corrosion spots), 1930 (UNC/PVC damage), 1931 (AU/cleaned/PVC damage), 2x 1931-S (AU/cleaned/PVC damage), 1942/1-D (VF/PVC damage), 1942/1 (F/PVC damage), and 3x 1945-S micro-S (AU/cleaned). In a few cases, the PVC residue can be safely removed, but this will most likely result in a coin that is merely "cleaned". Eighteen coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
