Lot Title:
Seven Seated Liberty half-dollars.
Description:
At first blush, it might be easy to dismiss this as an inexpensive lot, comprised of more common dates, none of them all too flashy. But for the connoisseur of fully original pieces, this is a veritable treasure trove. These coins look today exactly as they did when they were plucked from circulation so many years ago, and that puts the collector in the closest proximity to history of the mid-nineteenth century. Included are: 1853-O (AG), 1855 (XF), 1856-O (F), 1857 (VF), 1869 (VG), 1875-S (VF), and 1876-S (VF). Seven coin lot from the Tabasco Sauce collection.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
