Lot Title:
Large collection of 54 large cents in a Dansco 7099 album.
Description:
A bonanza of large-cents in a Dansco album, none of them attributed, which can only mean that there is treasure hunting in the new owner's future. Only the dates of 1798, 1801-1803, 1805, 1807, 1810, 1812-1828, and a majority of latter dates are represented, but the coins that are present are of fair to decent quality. Earlier coins are of lower grade in general, as expected, but 1810, 1812, 1813, and 1814 are nicely matched VG Classic heads with good surfaces, and a number of other coins are very attractive, even if limited to the VG/F grade range. Fifty-four large-cents in all.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
