Only strict BU coins are included in this complete set of Franklin half-dollars, and in fact, a number of pieces should easily meet standards for the "gem" grade. It could come as a surprise, and almost a shock when one realizes that these silver coins have maintained lustrous brilliance despite being stored in a PVC-laden album, but it turns out that every coin was placed into a Kointain prior to inclusion in the set. Unquestionably above average compared to typical competing albums. Cataloger's note: This evaluation is based on viewing the coins "through the plastic", and potential bidders are advised that surface issues may have been hidden by the associated holder. Further, Harco albums have been known to cause PVC contamination.
