Lot Title:

Gorgeous complete set of Jefferson Nickels in a Dansco 8113 album.
|
Description:
|
Kept up-to-date for a number of years by the consignor, every Jefferson nickel through 2009 is represented in this fine Dansco album. Nearly every coin is BU, with perhaps a couple of incidental exceptions, notably 1938-S and 1945-D, but it is obvious that this was intended to be a complete set of Choice BU coins. Particularly noteworthy is the marvelous toning that has developed on a number of coins. Pay special attention to 1938-D, 1939, 1939-D, 1940-D, 1940-S, 1941-D, 1946, 1946-D, 1947, 1947-D, 1948-D, 1948-D, 1949, 1950, 1950-D, 1951-D, 1953-D, and perhaps most remarkably, 1991-P! These are the coins that have produced the most vivid rainbow colors, but a number of others also display rainbow tone to some degree. A real treat for the connoisseur of a series that is gaining in popularity.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
