Lot Title: 1855-S NGC AU-50.
Description: Olive-drab patina dominates the fields and only grudgingly yields to glimmers of golden luster in the peripheral areas between the letters. Collectors of this series may will no doubt recognize 1855-S as a much tougher three-dollar gold coin, and it has semi-key status, particularly at AU-50 (this grade) and above. This seems to be a strictly original coin with no problems and no notable abrasions. Very nice!
