(About The Images)
1862 PCGS MS-64. 1862 PCGS MS-64.
Lot Title: 1862 PCGS MS-64.
Description: Despite being struck on a copper-nickel planchet, this 1862 Indian head cent provides a dead-on accurate impression of a bronze cent, given the olive-brown patina and underlying glimmers of faded red tone. Four bold diamonds and sharp feather details confirm the excellent strike that this issue is noted for, and both sides are almost completely free from carbon spots.
