(About The Images)
1805/4 O-101, R-3. VF-30. 1805/4 O-101, R-3. VF-30.
Lot Title: 1805/4 O-101, R-3. VF-30.
Description: A worthy example of this better known variety for this denomination, and the earliest overdate of this series. The reverse branch contains 4 1/2 berries since one berry is half hidden by a leaf. Enhanced by medium gray toning, there are no detracting marks to note. Decently struck save for the soft definition of "E PLU" on the reverse scroll.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

1805/4 (O-101) VF.
Courteous Collection of Early Type. Humble yet simultaneously terrific, the eye-appeal for VF-30 cannot be denied. Pewter-grey contrasts gently with beige patina to slightly accentuate obverse...

1805/4 (O-102) F.
Courteous Collection of Early Type. Most likely dipped at some point, the surfaces have recovered substantial lilac-grey patina to bring this one back to a near-original level. F-15 seems to be a...

1805/4 (O-102) XF/cleaned.
Courteous Collection of Early Type. Peculiar gunmetal texture takes on some bluish hints toward the obverse right side, but overall, this is a modestly glossy half-dollar that could not be considered...

1805/4 (O-102, R.3) AU details/scratched/questionable color.
1805/4 is a very popular overdate due to the ease with which that feature may be seen, even on well circulated specimens. This example possesses considerable detail, including nearly full definition...
518The Collectors' Auction 2007 on 10/19/2007$1,100.00
