(About The Images)
1867 XF. 1867 XF.
Lot Title: 1867 XF.
Description: Terrific vintage quality gives the surfaces that perfect old-time look, and details are strong and sharp, and only mildly affected by light wear. The conservative grade takes into account a handful of minor rim dings on the obverse and a pair of scratches overlaying ONE on the reverse.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

844The Midwest Summer Sale on 07/24/2009$425.00
1867 VF/cleaned/artificial color.
Effects of corrosion have been slightly attenuated by resmoothing of the surfaces, but the excessively bright silvery-blue color is clearly not natural.
657The Midwest Summer Sale 2007 on 07/27/2007$7,750.00
1867 PF-65+.
Phenomenal visual appeal greets the viewer of this Proof issue. Dramatic, frosty motifs contrast nicely against the background of the mirrored fields, and careful scrutiny of this specimen's surfaces...
