Lot Title:
1925 Norse SILVER - THIN PLANCHET. NGC MS-63.
Description:
Even though it isn't listed in the references for U.S. Commemoratives, this piece is frequently collected alongside that issues. Only 6,000 of the "thin" silver pieces were struck between May 21st and 23rd, 1925, and the entire issue was sold out by December, 1925, mainly to non-collectors who were responsible for many of these pieces being mishandled. This distinctly struck piece's surfaces have a glistening silvery aspect with some random ticks and hairlines.
