(About The Images)
1937 NGC (no line) PF-65. 1937 NGC (no line) PF-65.
Lot Title: 1937 NGC (no line) PF-65.
Description: Almost assuredly a long-term resident of someone's album, this glassy smooth proof Buffalo nickel features a deep, wide band of apricot-gold tone around both sides, with an especially attractive appearance on the reverse. Strike quality is decisive and extremely precise, even more so than usual for such a well produced issue. Indeed, technical merits alone would probably suggest a higher grade, but aesthetics are a little affected by tiny carbon spots on each side. They are not individually visible without magnification, but close examination cannot fail to discover their presence.
