Lot Title:
1838 No Drapery, 1855 Arrows, and 1856.
Description:
A trio of Seated Liberty quarter-dollars, all of them nice coins. Included are: 1838 (VF-30), 1855 (XF-40/questionable color), and 1856 (XF-45). The latter coin might be dipped, and the 1855 looks nice from the reverse, but has a somewhat odd looking obverse. However, the 1838 is a wonderfully original coin with outstanding detail for the VF-30 grade. Three coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

1838 No Drapery. XF/reverse rim damage.
Exceptionally original and attractive in every way, save a cut on the lower right reverse rim. The damage as noted should be completely obscured in an album. Perfect XF details. |
