Lot Title:
Thirteen certified Lincoln, Wheat Ears Reverse cents.
Description:
Because so many lots come to the Scotsman Auction Company in groups of thirteen, they are looked upon as lucky lots, rather than those afflicted by the bad karma of that most unfortunate number. Accumulated in this lot is a group of Lincoln cents, every one in an old holder. What could be luckier than that? Those in PCGS rattler holders are listed as follows: 1909-VDB (MS-64 RD), 1911 (MS-64 RD), 1912 (MS-64 RD), 1913-D (MS-64 RD), 1914 (MS-64 RD), 1919 (MS-64 RD), 1919-D (MS-64 RD), 1920 (MS-64 RD) and 1932-D (MS-64 RD). A 1917 graded MS-64 RD is in a PCGS green-label holder. Finally, NGC no-line slabs contain: 1927 (MS-64 RD), 1934-D (MS-65 RD), and 1935-S (MS-64 RD). Now, that wasn't such an unlucky lot, was it?
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
