Lot Title:

Nearly Complete set of Lincoln cents (all but 1922 plain) including proof-only issues in a Dansco 8100 album.
|
Description:
|
PCGS has graded the 1909-S VDB F-12, but the balance of the collection remains in a Dansco album for Lincoln cents dated 1909 - 2008-S, and including proof-only issues, but lacking 1922 plain and the 1970-S "small date" cent. Surface quality for these coins is much better than average, with obvious skill employed to match up the coins rather nicely for appearance and general quality. Important dates include: 1909-S (F-12), 1911-S (VG), 1914-D (F-12/reverse damaged/lightly cleaned), 1914-S (F-12), 1924-D (VF), 1924-S (XF), and 1931-S (AU). A very pretty set for the overall grade level.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
