Lot Title:

1855 Arrows. PCGS MS-63.
Description:
Likely ever potential bidder who reviews this gorgeous 1855 quarter will feel it is undergraded, or at least very conservatively assessed as MS-63, and this may come as no surprise from a PCGS green-label holder. But to a larger extent than technical grade, the outstanding and densely original color is what makes it special. The rose-tan central area surrenders gradually to cinnamon-magenta and then royal-blue tones as the edge is approached, while the reverse remains steadfastly platinum-grey overall. Slightly muted luster may have kept away an MS-64 grade, but this really is a pleasing coin.
