Lot Title:
1845-D PCGS XF-40.
Description:
1845-D has a reputation as one of the more available issues from Dahlonega, at least in circulated grades such as the current XF-40, and frequently serves type purposes. Housed in a PCGS green-label holder, this example was likely overly bright at one time, but has developed a blush of honey-gold patina over central areas of the obverse. Tiny nicks and abrasions are always expected of coins from this southern mint, and highpoint details are a little blunt as always for the issue.
