Lot Title:

Complete set of AU-BU Washington quarters, including proof-only issues, 1932 thru 1995, in a Dansco 8140 album.
|
Description:
|
Each of the keys are included in this outstanding set of Washington quarters, which is complete from 1932 - 1995-P, but lacking 1995-D and all coins thereafter. Important coins are impressively represented as follows: 1932-D (AU-58 but honestly nicer than the average slider), 1932-S (MS-60/hairlined portrait), 1934-D (AU-55), 1935-D (AU-55), 1935-S (MS-63 obverse planchet flaw), 1936-D (AU-58), 1937-S (MS-60), and 1938-S (MS-60). Numerous other coins dated prior to 1940 are uncirculated or nearly so, and all have impressive luster. Toning has begun to take hold of a few early coins, notably 1940-S, 1947-S, 1949, and 1950-S, but 1955 is delightfully toned, as are 1952-S and 1957.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
