Lot Title:
1830 Large Letters (N-2, High R-2). PCGS MS-64.
Description:
Rapid attribution of this large cent is aided by the pronounced die crack encircling the entire obverse, as well as the uniquely repunched final "A" in AMERICA on the reverse. About 5% of each side retains original mint red color, and no wear can be seen anywhere on the portrait, though there is a mere hint of discoloration on the hair strands just below the coronet. Cartwheel effect is pronounced, making this is a wonderful middle-date large cent that exemplifies the finest eye appeal in a brown uncirculated copper.

A pair of pleasing large cents with nice dark chocolate surfaces. Both would be great choices to fill those pesky holes in your set. |
