Lot Title:
1857 NGC MS-67.
Description:
NGC initiated the "star" designation long after this no line slab was produced, though one can certainly imagine this impressive semi-prooflike superb-gem garnering the coveted appointment if resubmitted. Shimmering fields are draped in highly appealing shades of butter-gold and honeydew-green iridescence that evanesces into misty platinum-grey patina atop the devices. Although the strike is not entirely sharp at the periphery, Liberty's portrait and the eagle's depiction are consummately defined.
