Lot Title:
1904-S VF.
Description:
In middle circulated grades, 1904-S is one of the top three or so keys to the Barber half-dollar set. This example is a gorgeous VF-20 that has no serious issues whatsoever. A minor contusion on the right obverse rim is the closest thing to a detriment, and most collectors won't even notice it.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

This San Francisco issue transmits a silver-gray hue with some darker crimson tones towards the edges. Apparently submitted to a light cleaning, it nevertheless projects a handsome appearance. |

This is a very desirable branch mint issue having a production at slightly above 500,000. Its unimpaired surfaces are enhanced with a golden blush and dark crimson at the rims. Admirably struck for... |
