Lot Title:
1875 (BG-796) quarter-dollar. PCGS MS-63.
Description:
An unexpected (and undesired!) exotic Pacific Islander appearance is caused by the fact that the headdress looks more like it is constructed of palm leaves, rather than feathers. A difficult coin to grade due to the usual poor execution of both the dies and the strike quality, but the overall quality is somewhat prooflike.
