(About The Images)
1862 PCGS MS-63. 1862 PCGS MS-63.
Lot Title: 1862 PCGS MS-63.
Description: Golden tinted haze enshrouds the fields and subdues a few wispy hairlines, particularly left of Liberty's portrait and in the reverse fields. The obverse is struck exceedingly well, which is a surprise since the reverse displays a little weakness of strike, perhaps indicating mismatched dies? A sizeable planchet lamination or strike-through appears suspended above Liberty's knee, and cannot be missed. Truthful disclosure requires mention that the aforementioned hairlines may not have been sufficiently factored into the grade.
Low Estimate: $675.00
High Estimate: $775.00
