(About The Images)
1933-S PCGS MS-64. 1933-S PCGS MS-64.
Lot Title: 1933-S PCGS MS-64.
Description: Although an exemplary strike likely produced nearly complete thumb detail at the time of production, a single bagmark has mashed a couple of Liberty's fingers and her thumb, and a plentiful supply of similar bagmarks cluster up and down her torso. The eagle, on the other hand, has been deprived of such detractions, and the reverse appears a full point better in grade than the obverse. Potent mint luster is an additional beneficiary of the powerful strike.
Low Estimate: $950.00
High Estimate: $1,150.00

870The Midwest Summer Sale on 07/26/2013$2,400.00
1933-S PCGS MS-65.
Recognizable as a better date in the series, especially given a low mintage of 1.8 million, fewer than a hundred examples grade higher than the present MS-65. Speckled tobacco-gold toning dashes up...
601The Collectors' Auction 2012 on 10/05/2012$875.00
1933-S NGC MS-62.
Bud's Walker Duplicates. It is completely unclear why this did not earn an MS-63 grade, as the luster provides ample illumination of sharp devices and problem-free fields. True, a few feathery...
841The Collectors' Auction 2011 on 10/21/2011$425.00
1933-S AU.
The final grade should exceed merely "AU", considering the quantity of remaining luster and excellent eye-appeal. Such a small amount of detail has been lost to wear that the appearance is nicer than...
540The Collectors' Auction 2010 on 10/15/2010$800.00
1933-S MS-63.
Except for the key 1938-D, 1933-S is the last really "scarce" Walker in choice BU grades, yet receives too little attention in comparison to competing tougher dates in the series. The MS-63 grade is...
621The Midwest Summer Sale 2007 on 07/27/2007$2,900.00
1933-S PCGS MS-65.
The 1933-S Walking Liberty half-dollar merits consideration as an important issue by the San Francisco Mint, as it has the distinction of being the only silver coin issued that year. Therefore,...
1487The Midwest Summer Sale 2006 on 07/21/2006$230.00
1933-S AU-55.
Deep crimson toning hugs the obverse periphery, while an appealing golden hue is observed on the corresponding reverse area. These colors frame the central frosty aspect of the design elements. No...
628The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/17/2006$320.00
1933-S AU-58.
The first year of production for this denomination after 1929, and only struck by the branch mint in San Francisco. This example displays a scant number of hairlines, mainly noticed in the fields on...
629The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/17/2006$1,400.00
1933-S PCGS MS-64.
This is a blazing white Walker that has no toning and a strong strike. There are a few counter marks on the obverse that are holding this coin back from greatness.
