Description:
|
Slate grey surfaces reveal some haze in the obverse fields and an arc of aquamarine iridescence above LIBERTY. On the reverse, there are individually visible feathers in the eagle's wings, and a vestige of mint luster clings tenaciously to TATES and AMERIC. Except for a cluster of sharp, smallish contact marks in the space below the hair ribbon, this large coin is surprisingly free of abrasions.
