(About The Images)
1919-D PCGS MS-63. 1919-D PCGS MS-63.
Lot Title: 1919-D PCGS MS-63.
Description: Although there are certainly several challenging Walking Liberty half-dollar issues in circulated grades, the 1919-D just starts to become difficult at about the "fine" level. Beyond the grade of MS-62, however, it becomes downright rare, and only the 1921-S is considered a stronger contender for status as THE key to the series. Strike quality plagues the issue, and the coin at hand noticeably lacks central definition on the obverse, though the reverse is actually decent with regard to sharpness. Mint luster is also a little subdued, which is typical of these softly struck coins, but it is "all there", and is only lightly patinated with beige overtones. A limited supply of carbon spots peppers each side, and the lack of dings or blemishes is an unexpected bonus at the MS-63 level.

1919-D NGC VF-30.
Recognizable as a difficult issue in the series at the most popular grades, 1919-D can prove elusive even in the very-fine grade range. This is a no-question original example that enjoys perfect...

1919-D AU.
Roman Powers Collection. In the realm of AU through mint-state grades, 1919-D becomes surpassed only by the exceptionally difficult 1921-S issue in terms of outright blatant scarcity. Besides...

1919-D F, 1920-D XF, and a 1920-S XF.
1919-D should prove to be quite strong for the "fine" grade, given rather bold central details (for a moderately circulated coin). 1920 shows a delicate hint of luster beneath an apricot-gold...

1919-D PCGS XF-45.
The year 1921 sees the three most expensive keys in the Walking Liberty half-dollar series, but 1919 encompasses the next two keys, at least in better circulated grades. At the extremely-fine level,...

1919-D VF-35 and 1928-S AU-55 Walking Liberty half-dollars

An excellent representation of a formidable date to acquire in grades Very Fine and higher. A whisper of golden toning bedecks the pleasing silver-gray surfaces of this admirable circulated specimen.
