Lot Title: 1806 Small 6 - Stemless (C-1, R-1), 1828 Thirteen Stars (C-3, R-1) and 1851 (C-1, R-1) half-cents.
Description: A trio of half-cents representing three different types are to be found in this lot. An 1806 "C-1" (no stems) grades XF-45 and features sharp details and exceedingly original surfaces - so original that a careful and proper EAC brushing could add more than five points to the net grade. This is a very nice coin with an EAC 30 grade. Next is an 1828 "C-3" which has AU-50 detail, but it has been sadly dipped and neglected, with the surfaces now showing clay-orange color and streaks of unattractive corrosion. Call this coin EAC 8. Finally, a perfectly original 1851 C-1 grades AU50 BN, but has a couple of -wispy little handling marks on Liberty's lower jaw, and a few unimportant patina stains around the obverse. An EAC 40 grade is appropriate. Three coin lot.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
