Lot Title:
1806 Large 6 - Stems (C-4, R-1) and three additional half-cents, attributed..
Description:
A quartet of half-cents, all of them with excellent detail, but also surface issues of note. They are cataloged as follows: 1806 "C-4" (AU-58, dipped, EAC 50), 1828 "C-2, 12 stars" (XF-45, recolored, EAC 30), 1828 "C-3, 13 stars" (AU-55, cleaned, EAC 40), and 1835 "C-2" (AU-53, cleaned, EAC 30). The estimated EAC net grades reflect the fact that the coins lack major abrasion or mechanical problems, but also shows that the coins are not originally colored. Four coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
