Description:
|
Pretty canary-gold color suggests a good level of original quality, with the reasonably smooth surfaces displaying only modest abrasion. As always, the reverse retains a little more mint luster than the obverse, but either side is obviously almost fully lustrous. The date is rather weak, but that is not an uncommon striking characteristic of this issue; the coin is otherwise rather nicely detailed. The "small date" variety is more common than its "large date" counterpart.
