Lot Title:
1893-CC NGC AU-58.
Description:
A prominently struck issue from the last production year from this revered western mint. Only 18,402 Double Eagles were struck with this date. Some light scuffs, and a sprinkling of contact marks, are noted for accuracy on this exemplary specimen. It is difficult, at best, to detect the wear on Liberty's check on this example, which is just a breath away from being labeled Mint State. A gorgeous yellow-gold aspect glows from its satiny surfaces.
