Lot Title:

1955 "doubled die" Lincoln cent, ANACS AU-55, whizzed
Description:
Kudos to ANACS for discovering evidence of whizzing, because this doubled die cent appears fully original from most viewing angles. Clearly, the process was applied some time ago, as the coin has retoned to a convincingly natural color, and even retains a multitude of common carbon spots that normally would be removed by the wire brush. Only very briefly circulated, as there is very little apparent wear, and only a smattering of tiny handling marks.
